About

My name is Robin Hogreve and I’m from Germany. I started this blog back in August 2016. I always had a passion for traveling and photography.

And right after I finished Highschool back in 2013, I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. So it really was a no-brainer to go live somewhere else for some time.

Canada quickly became my plan a. And so, to finance my shenanigans, I got myself a job. Working at a printery for very minimal wages, I still managed to build up a nice little buffer. When the time came, I boarded an airplane to Toronto. That was on April 17, 2014. I had one year to figure out what I really wanted for my life.

But first, I had the time of my life. Working, learning, meeting new people. I really became partly Canadian by heart. Heck, I even made some friends over there. But one year really isn’t that long. After what felt merely like a few months, I had to pack my bags and go back to Germany. It was April 16, 2015.

I hadn’t really figured out what I wanted to do just then. But I had a blink of an idea. So I did some research and applied to go to University. I got accepted for Geoenvironmental Engineering at the Clausthal University of Technology. It also was the only University I had applied for. In my first semester, I decided that just University just wasn’t enough.

I wanted to do something practical. So I joined the Green Voltage Racing Team. It’s my Univerity’s Formula Student team. We build electronic racecars. My plan was to do at least my bachelor’s (of science). That changed. I want to do my master’s degree after I finish my bachelor’s.
